Once upon a time in a life far far away (thankfully), I used to be a sales representative for a medical company. I worked in operating rooms teaching doctors how to use our equipment. After five years of being on the road so much, and at the end of my twenties, I was seriously burned out! I went on vacation with some friends. At the time one of my friends who had joined us was on "hiatus". He had decided to take a whole year off! I was so amazed by that concept. What a thought, to actually take a whole year off for yourself! He recommended a book to me on the subject of retiring early through real estate. I bought the book and finished it before returning from my vacation. When I got home I knew I had to make some changes. I had to ask myself, who's dream am I building; mine or somebody else's? I saw no light at the end of the tunnel as far as my job was concerned. I became VERY determined to dig a new tunnel. I began searching the web for any and all information on real estate investing. That's when I found ForeclosureS.com. I could see that of all the other websites out there ForeclosureS.com was clearly the gold standard. The information was actually clear, concise, honest, ethical, and very complete. They were absolutely opposite of every other website out there! I ordered my Six Steps home study course right away. I could not wait to get it! I even tried to expedite the shipping which was nuts because at the time their office was only 20 minutes away. Not long after barreling through the home study course I decided to take Alexis' 3-day Lab. It was an EASY decision. After all the research I had done on the other "Gurus" there was no one offering to work live and in person with such a limited number of people while covering how to buy pre-foreclosures from A to Z. I thought if ForeclosureS.com is offering all that for much less than all the other Gurus and if I get to work with Alexis in person, then sign me up! I did reserve my seat, but had to wait three months (she was booked back then too). This simply would not do! I called and pestered Andy Anderson until one day someone cancelled and I got to take their earlier spot. I made it into the last Lab of 2002. What Changed? Taking the Lab and working closely with Alexis and our small group of new investors for 3 jam-packed days absolutely changed everything for me. I knew what my goals and plans were before taking the lab but what I did not have was a system to implement that plan. The Lab taught me hands on "how to" work a proven successful system without trying to reinvent the wheel. I learned how to handle homeowners with dignity and respect. I really began to see that there are people out there who needed my help; people who were floundering in a sea of sharks and really needed a white knight to get the safely to shore. We all want our lives to mean something and know that we have made a difference. By helping homeowners in default I have found a way to do just that. My sincerest wish is that on every day that I'm working in this business, is that on that day I find the person that needs my help the most. How did Sarah Do? I knew my first year would be tough considering I was already working full time for someone else. But I was determined and I was not going to give myself ANY excuses! There was NO WAY I was going to fail at this! I worked the phones on my breaks during the day, at night from my hotel room, in my car traveling to and from appointments, and at home on the weekends. My goal was to do one deal per quarter that year. With those deals I was able to match my six figures annual salary. That's when it dawned on me my "day job" was actually costing me money! In 2004 I quit my job and have been working for myself ever since. But here's the best part: In 2004 and 2005 I only worked six months of each year and took the remaining six months of those years off (and made MORE than working full time!) I still managed to work smart and do at least five transactions per year, help people who really needed me, make a great living, and enjoy my life. Why Become a ForeclosureS.com Coach? If you ever come to my house you can see my goals proudly posted in my office. This year I will do eight to ten deals, working part time. I will continue to donate a percentage of every deal to my favorite charities. I will read twelve books that promote personal development, so I can keep getting better and better at what I do. I will help as many Lab graduates as I can to become more successful than they ever thought possible! I will continue to honor and be thankful for the great friendships that I have formed with Alexis, Mary Kay, and Daryl and hopefully YOU! Enjoy life... this is not a dress rehearsal! J Sarah |
