Daryl WhiteI retired from a career in the U.S. Navy in 1996 and went to work for a property management company specializing in Affordable Housing. My affiliation with property management sparked my interest in real estate investing so my wife and I began purchasing rental property. I soon realized that it would take far too many years to achieve my financial goals relying solely on rental property income and therefore set out to find better ways to invest in real estate.

Learning the Hard Way...

Unfortunately, like many people aspiring to make money in real estate, I fell for one of the famous guru's (Ron LeGrand) program. Approximately a year and thousands of dollars later, I realized that his stuff simply doesn't work. Ironically, because of Ron LeGrand, my wife found ForeclosureS.com while searching online for foreclosure investing information. It wasn't long after reading the great free articles available on the site that I ordered the home study course. Upon completing the course I was convinced that Alexis was the real deal and that I was on the right track. I applied what I learned from the ForeclosureS.com home study4 course and finally got my first deal. Being my first deal, I chose to assign it to another investor for a finder's fee. I then decided to take a leap of faith and quit my corporate job and attended Alexis's 3-day lab.

What Changed?

EVERYTHING!!! By the end of day-1, I realized that I was doing everything wrong. By the end of day-2, I realized that this was in fact the "real deal" and I was going to have to work really hard at it. By the end of day-3, I felt equipped with knowledge and confidence and couldn't wait to get home and get on the phone. The biggest difference in what Alexis teaches from what other guru's teach is that it's all about putting the owners needs before your own the willingness to help them without asking for anything in return. You do that and the rest will come. Alexis' one-on-one mentoring in her 3-day lab is invaluable. It truly does pull everything together, equips you with the skills and confidence you will need, and puts you on the right path to achieving success in this business.

Since then I've been truly blessed by becoming friends with Alexis, Mary Kay, Sarah Garlick, and Tim Rhode. Not only have we become friends, we have become a family that I'm honored to be a part of.

How did Daryl do?

My goal was to be in a much better place within a year after attending the lab, both financially and with my family. Not only did achieve my goal, I far exceeded it. I attended the lab in April of 2005 and I had 8 deals by the end of that year and approximately one year out of the lab I had a total of 13 deals. 2006 was a great year for me with 10 more deals for a total of 23 in two years. 2007 is off to a great start with 4 deals under my belt for a total 27 deals since I started in this business. Yes, I'm still pinching myself but most of all, I'm thanking God everyday for this blessing. The best part for me is knowing that I make a positive difference in the lives of the many homeowners I've helped and still being friends with all of them. Helping others is what life is all about for me.
