Personal Investor Coaching
Daryl White
After returning to Los Angeles in 1996, I was reunited with my high school sweetheart Renee (boy was I lucky) and she blessed me with her hand in marriage on Jan. 11, 1997. We now live in Valencia, CA with our two beautiful children Ryan (son) and Danee (daughter) who are a true blessing. By the way, Danee is the direct result of leaving my corporate job and working from home and being happy (don’t say I didn’t warn you). When I’m not prospecting for foreclosure, coaching or teaching in the Lab, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, golfing, traveling, golfing, playing in Vegas, golfing, any reason to throw a BBQ and golfing. Did I mention I like golfing? Education: While in the Navy I became a law enforcement specialist and instructor, earning an associate degree in criminal justice, and also worked as a reserve police officer in Guam, USA and Whidbey Island, WA. In 1996, I retired from the Navy under the Early Retirement Program. Prior Work Experience: Before attending the Lab in April 2005, my wife and I worked for a property management company specializing in affordable house. During that time I became a certified property manager through the Institute of Real Estate Manager (IREM) and supervised a large portfolio of affordable housing projects for seven years. By that time I was truly miserable in my job and knew I had to get out of the rat race for me and for my family. Real estate experiences (before & after attending Alexis’ 3-Day Lab): In my search for a better way, I took several real estate guru programs which ended costing me a significant amount of money and making me absolutely none. Just when I was about to give up on being a real estate investor I found ForeclosureS.com. Needless to say I was very skeptical but I couldn’t help but notice that Alexis was different and her philosophy of putting the homeowner first was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered the Mastering Home Study program and after listening to it several times I booked my Lab seat, and thank God I did. After attending the 3-Day Lab I must admit that I went home and tried to combine what I had learned from Alexis with some things I’d picked up from other guru programs because then it would be better right?... wrong. It didn’t work, so do learn from my mistake and don’t do that. What did work is doing EXACTLY what Alexis taught me, nothing added. How Well Did it Work? Thirteen deals one year out of the Lab. Twenty-three deals two years of the Lab. Over 40 deals three years out of the Lab. Now, seven months into 2009 and I'm taking a little break from REO's because I hit my goal of having a total of 20 rentals by year-end a bit early (yippie). I'm currently working on finding a large multi-family unit to buy and still going to scoop up any good pre-foreclosures I find for my charities and some funny money for golf and more. I never thought I would see the day when I actually have enough money to stop working for a while. Yes, I’m still pinching myself. God is good. Why do I Coach? To be honest, my initial reason for Coaching was simply because Alexis asked me to. We had become very good friends by then and I felt I owed her so much I just couldn’t say no. What has coaching brought me? It wasn’t long after I started Coaching that I realized I love to coach others. Two of my mentors, Jesus Christ and Jim Rohn, said that the key to happiness and greatness is to find a way to serve many. Helping owners in default had allowed me serve many people in many ways. Coaching new investors was a way I continue to serve and have a multiplying affect on how many more I could help and the benefits never stop. Every time I help a homeowner out of a bad situation, I do my little part of making the world a better place. Every time I Coach a Lab graduate to succeed, there is one more white knight out there doing their little part. All these little parts put together make one really big positive difference in the lives of many and that truly has brought me happiness and a great life. What do I Bring to My Coaching Clients? If you hang around Alexis long enough you will no doubt inherit a nickname that will be with you until the end of time and she has affectionately given me the “Sergeant Buddha Zen Master” nickname. Sergeant, because I will whip you in shape and keep you on task. Buddha, because I believe there is always a reasons why people react the way they do, and seeking to understand why is the key that opens the door. And finally, Zen Master because when I talk I’m always calm and I never let anyone ruffle my feathers, no matter what. As a Coach I don’t try to teach you to be like me. What I do is help you to step out of your comfort zone, overcome any fears and roadblocks you may have, and develop the God-given gifts and talents you already have and use them to help others. That is what gets people talking to you and allows you to help them, which ultimately leads to deals. When the deal comes, I’m there to walk you through it step by step so that you don’t make any mistakes. I’m looking forward to serving you in the near future. Give Jim a call at 800-310-7730 x114 and let’s chat... God Bless You, Daryl :) God Bless, Daryl White |
