Customer Feedback I was President of a Manufacturing, distribution, importing and exporting company and resigned at the end of 2005 after 8 years of the typical corporate nightmare. I was looking for foreclosure auctions and came across Foreclosures.com. I signed up for their free lists, looked at some houses and wanted more help so I ordered the home study course. I was one of the lucky ones, with no other guru experiences other than Alexis .

I reserved my Lab seat about 30 days later. It became very clear to me that the only way to invest profitably in real estate was to buy below market. The only way to buy below was the foreclosure business. Once that became clear, I decided that I needed to make sure I was as successful as possible in as short as possible a time; that's why I signed up for the Lab .I put all of my professional time into making it work when I returned home after our intensive 3 days together. As a result, the Lab turned me instantly into a full-time real estate investor overnight.

My first deal: $600,000 in So California. Purchased for $404,000 (33% off) and holding as a rental, to sell in a few years. I have a handful of additional pre-foreclosure deals working and I’ve submitted 15 REO offers. Any of these can pop at any time. This is how I plan to continue to support my family; and to work in a "non-traditional" way.

My words of wisdom for new folks:

Follow the advice of those you know who are successful. Work hard, educate yourself and expect nothing less than excellence. If you want to be successful in this business, apply those same principles and follow Alexis' teachings to the letter. No matter what, make sure that the activity level is at least 50 calls per day, done perfectly and you will find success.

I had a Chinese art teacher in college who used to tell us to study the details of the great artists, and learn the basics through discipline and practice; and to have the patience to wait to do things in your own way later. That same message applies to every business of which I've been a part, and the foreclosure business it is no exception. -- Todd Vandehei
