Tim McGee, Editor & Publisher
For nearly the last two years, a day of work has not gone by without someone asking, When are you going to start printing that newsletter again? Well, the answer is … never. The Foreclosure Forecast is again publishing, but not as a newsletter, this time around it is a magazine,
Alexis (my wife) says 16 page publications are not magazines. I say, if it has the content, quality and advertising of a magazine, it is a magazine.
The Foreclosure Forecasts goal will be to educate and inform those interested in profiting from distressed properties. There will be monthly columns by a variety of professionals, each involved every day in the business of foreclosure trading.
The Foreclosure Forecast will once again have me at the helm as Publisher and Editor. Weve added a full staff of columnists, editors and artists who are just as excited as I am about the new format.
Editorially, we will be sharing the tricks, tips and techniques of successful property buyers. The stories wont be rehashed concepts from infomercial gurus, they will
be techniques that are working now, in your market. Remember, we are not trying to work with all the property buyers in the United States. We are trying to provide a service to distressed property buyers in California.
Besides future guest columnists, our standard writers include Bruce Norris, Alexis McGee, Michael McBee and myself. We think youll find the topics and concepts both informative and entertaining.
Bruce will be writing a column on the current economic indicators that decide which way the real estate market is going.
Alexis will be writing on different marketing and networking techniques you can employ to get the best deals to come your way. This month she teaches how to find the money and the proper way to deal with your investors.
Teaching the most necessary of skills, the proper use of the telephone, will be Mikes task, In this issue he discusses what work ethic is required to make the telephone work for you.
I’m a systems kind of guy. I am going to speak to the ways you can organize your work to maximize your time. Future issues will include feature stories on timely events and topics to distressed property buyers.
If you want to be a guest columnist, advertiser or just send a letter to the editor please write or fax me.
The revival has received an excellent response from our advertisers. You will find electronic data services which can give you oodles of information on properties; Realtors who list REO property; contractors with an expertise in rehab; attorneys who specialize in matters of title; lenders who are familiar with the needs of a distressed property buyer; even people who want to help you shelter the money you do make. These are the people who make up the distressed property buyers team.
1 hope you enjoy reading and learning from The Foreclosure Forecast as much as we have enjoyed putting it together for you. If you want to be a guest columnist, advertiser or just send a letter to the editor please write or fax me. It is your feedback and participation that will make this forum work.
