We are well into the routine of putting this magazine together. I am more than a little amazed at your response. Letters, subscriptions and advertisements pour in. The observant will notice an extra four pages in this issue*.
Being it’s December, this is a good time to look at your year. If you receive a copy of this magazine, you are in search of affluence. Did you make this year from your ventures what you expected to? Unfortunately, for the vast majority, you didn’t.
I use December as the month I reload. Alexis and I love to tease you all with titillating stories of our vacations to Hawaii for our end of the year goal meeting. This year we will not be making our annual trip to the sun and stress-free isles. Family changes have made it unreasonable.
We will still take two weeks off at the end of the year. We have to. It is the reason for our success. Alexis and I redirect ourselves each December. We analyze our successes and failures of the previous year. We plan our success for the future year. We set goals.
And maybe most important we assess risk. We look at places where we are vulnerable to loss. Last year we changed our stock portfolio plans, maybe not the best move. We increased our profit requirements when buying property, a very good move.
So take the time to review the past, plan for the future and look at your risk. My vacations make me money because I take the quiet and use it.
